Jam Jingles
Your In-Game Name: Big D Mayor Your SteamID: 76561199028065136 Details about this incident: So I was given a warning by "ryl" for "Scamming(Not paying money)" Or something like that. Basically, I was opening up a Casino with a dupe that had been given to me and as I was wiring it up this dude decided to come and try to play for the money. He dropped 50k and was wondering why it wasn't working. I proceeded to tell him that it was not working to which he responded "Might wanna close it off then :*(" which I had closed off at that point. I dropped his 50k back to him. Then he went back to put another load of money in there again after I told him it wasn't working. He then proceeded to demand that I pay him the money he won and when I told him again that it was not working, he called an admin. He told the admin that he had won and wanted his money to which I tried to argue that I told him it wasn't working. He then proceeded to tell the admin **** !! HE DIDN'T SEE IT !! **** which is crazy. That conversation went around and around which lead to me getting a warning for scamming. I'll attach some pictures of the chat logs where he tells 2 completely different stories to get me in trouble. Evidence/pictures (If any): He responded to my message of me saying it wasn't working then proceeded to lie to the admin and get me in trouble. Time of incident (Including timezone): 1:50AM NZDT
ryl
Reason for the warn is the casino was open to the public for all intents and purposes. Nowhere on the base is it ever labelled to be under construction or in testing. The casino was duped in for a long time so its not a matter of the casino "just being duped in". See below for screenshots. The start of the conversation with the casino owner is also screenshotted below when we both walked up to the machine and gambled. I personally gambled $2 as I usually do and it glitched out. Kaia then gambled $50k on the other machine and it glitched out as well. In the chat you can see that Big D states "the machine broke" and NOT that the casino was closed. This story then changes to what he says above. As such, I dismissed his claim that the casino was originally labelled as "closed" or "in testing". Kaia won a roll for $50k and was not paid. Big D actively refused to pay the $50k and told me to just warn him for scamming. Hopefully this clarifies it! SCREENSHOTS This is the gambling machine's front. He shows awareness to it actually not working then proceeded to use it again and lied to you telling you he didn't see anywhere that it wasnt working. That's the problem Edit: You can see others struggle to understand the fairness of the punishment by the replies
Arpo
DENIED The first time Kaia Tech dropped 50k was 1 minute and 56 seconds after you had finished pasting down the dupe, giving you enough time to place a textscreen saying out of order, close off the machine etc. The first time you said to Kaia that the machine wasn't working was another 3 minutes and 31 seconds after he first dropped the money. He never dropped money again after this. You are still required to honor the winnings even if the machine was broken as you didn't state anywhere that it was closed off. It's the same situation if you had opened up the machine and it was still faulty, you would still have to payout to the winner yourself. You could have simply avoided a warning by paying Kaia the extra 50k. The warning will remain.
